over here…

I’m taking a break from my monday basket and hoping to take monday’s to do to a little more reflecting instead of planning.

Find me over here today, writing about doing what you love.

This week kind of feels like a fresh start. Maybe it’s just the sense of what Easter truly is and while my plate is beyond full, I’m feeling refreshed.

I’ve had a crazy influx of orders for the DIY felt cape sets. Over one hundred to put together this week and the potential for another fifty to sixty. I am pretty darn amazed at the response to these sets and the feedback that I am getting. That said, most of this week will be spent putting these together.

Now that the Easter dress is done (look for a pattern review tomorrow) I feel like I can turn my attention back to so many other things I had left hanging…namely the darn flower fairy wand I’ve been wanting to make to match the crown.

School is wrapping up for my kiddos (less than 7 weeks till summer…ahh!) and I’ve got a couple of things I need to start working on for end of the year gifts for their teachers. I’m hoping to get an embroidery pattern traced and ready this week for my son’s teacher who is retiring after 40+ years of teaching.

That’s about it. What’s in your basket this week?

Instead of sharing what’s in my basket this week,

I’m sharing 37 blessings….over here in this space.

Why?

Because it’s my birthday!

I feel I’ve been a bit ambitious lately.

I’ve been putting all these things in my weekly basket, only to have them sit there longingly hoping to be fulfilled.

Not so.

This week I’m aiming to be a bit realistic:

1. some cape orders to get out the door this week
2. a blessing embroidery to finish (a pillow version)
3. I’m trying my hand today at making some of diy hand soap that’s been all over Pinterest. I’m going off of two of pretty much the same recipes, here and here.
4. Hopefully I’ll finish the flower fairy wands and maybe start on the boy’s crown
5. The chick’s Easter dress is cut out and I’m hoping to get the first part of it sewn up later on this week. This is one pattern review I’m eager to share (and honestly not all in a positive light)

Who knows what else I might try to throw in there, but these are my goals this week.

Stick around and hopefully you’ll see some of the results.

What’s in your basket this week?

The kiddos are back in school (only 9 weeks till summer break…ahhh!) so I’m hoping to get back into a good rhythm this week. Here’s what is on the docket this week:
1. 2 cape orders
2. lay out the 1 Corinthians Love is… embroidery and get started
3. wedding ring pillows for all these upcoming spring weddings
4. the fairy wands and crowns for the boys
5. a felt flower key ring
6. and on the home front, trying out a new granola recipe
