31 days: a give-away!

Day 26: giving thanks give-away

Remember this goodie I pinned?

Well, here it is in all it’s finished glory:

And it could be hanging in your house! In honor of my husband’s birthday (and the fact that I’ve got nothing other than an insane chocolate cake I’ve been making all day) I’m gifting one of my lucky readers with this hand embroidered goodness. It is stitched onto 100% cotton muslin with a ribbon tie hanger. I am trying my hand at different ways of finishing it and tried out painting the hoop this time around. The hoop is a lovely chocolate brown.

All you have to do is leave a comment and let me know what is one creative thing you want to accomplish that you haven’t yet? I’ll randomly draw a winner tomorrow (unfortunately this is for US people only…the funds aren’t strong enough for me to ship this overseas).

And lest you think the husband isn’t going to get anything for his birthday: he’s pining for a ping-pong table that we are hoping to score one day on craigslist. Until then, the chocolate cake will have to suffice!

One creative thing I have yet to accomplish is smocking. I have a new baby girl and have been transplanted to the North. I really want her to grow up with sweet Southern touches like smocking, but they are hard to find here. I have a pleater and some books, I just need time and determination! 🙂
