I’m honestly still reeling over the fact that it’s November and I know I’m going to blink and it will be Thanksgiving. I went back and forth for the last few months trying to decide if I was going to do any holiday markets or not and finally decided to try the Holiday Shoppe at The Hive again. It’s such a great venue and so well run that why wouldn’t I?
The sale is at The Hive on Central, December 9-11, 2016.
Here’s a peek at a few of the things I’m trying to pull together for the event.
my mini ornament collection for 2016
Mini wreath ornaments (and I’m hoping to work on a set of some a little bit larger – these measure about 2 inches)
And these guys… my own take on the elf on the shelf
I’ve got a few other things up my sleeve that I’m hoping to get together too.
There’s a chill in the morning air and it’s hard to believe that the holidays are just around the corner! It’s time to start planning your holiday decor and gift giving. I’ve got a few new items coming into the shop this year and a few more coming in the next couple of weeks.
my new advent calendar for 2015!
This calendar is made up of quilted scraps in the background with a wreath of felt leaves stitched on top and set into a 14 inch wooden embroidery hoop. A felt bow is added to the top. Twelve mini hoops are hung onto buttons as a way to countdown the 12 days leading up to Christmas.
Labels are provided filled with fun activities for you and yours to participate in as you countdown – along with some blank labels for you to write your own holiday traditions on.
imply hang all the mini hoops facing out and flip them around when the day comes or hang each number up or take each number down as you count down the days. You choose! This is a completely reusable wreath that is easy to store for each year and includes a little bag for storing all your mini hoops that hangs on the back.
I’ve only got 6 available – so get your order in while supplies last!
I saw a photo a while back on Pinterest of this stack of books and these dangling bookmarks made with vintage jewelry. About the same time, Ms Sonia of dandelyne mini hoops fame introduced a smaller size of her round wooden hoops and also some oval ones. Immediately a new product came to mind – dangling bookmarks with some little hoops hanging!
I bought up some fat quarters of some fabrics I had fallen in love with and got to sketching and stitching and I absolutely love how they turned out.
Here’s each one that is up for purchase coming in May.
