Everyone in my house knows when wedding season has begun by the stacks of shoeboxes that show up on our front porch! I’ve been super busy trying to keep up with all these custom embroideries, but I love it. Here’s a glimpse at some of the shoes I’ve done so far this spring.
These TOMS came with a great story about that little owl up on the top. It was a tribute to the bride’s grandmother. I love little special touches like that!
I wish I kept count for how many pairs of these mint colored Converse I’ve stitched over the past few years. Definitely the most popular color.
Mrs. Clark is getting married 🙂
It’s not all just wedding shoes around here! These were some custom monogrammed shoes for a local 13 year old. I really love how they turned out!
These lacey Keds are some of my favorites. I’ve done a couple pairs of them and I love how they turned out.
Exreme close up.
Every wedding day should start with “happily ever after!”
Custom his and hers.
I’m still taking orders for custom embroidered TOMS, Keds and Converse. You can check out my whole shoe portfolio on flickr.

Etsy is a weird bird. There are times when it is super silent and then times that it seems to explode. All of a sudden I was swarmed with shoe orders and I’ve been steadily working trying to stay ahead. Here’s some of the shoes I’ve done recently (and my first time with Converse high tops!)
And the biggest news is that after nearly 3 years of working in my dining room I am FINALLY moved back into my “new/old” studio space. We still have some work to do (trim, painting, hanging shelves etc) but all of my sewing stuff is finally in one spot and I am so relieved! Today was my first day of “working” down there officially and man it’s awesome. Here it is while I was bringing everything down and trying to get organized…
And here it was this morning 🙂
Some of the things my hands have been stitching lately…
I’m currently working on a 50th anniversary commission and I’m so excited with how these little people turned out. It was a rough start to figure out how to do their faces, but I think I got it figured out!

I’m still stitching up shoes…

I updated a version of some lyrics from Hillsong United’s Oceans song.

Continuing with my button stars series, I stitched up a portion of a song by Samwise Gamgee from Lord of the Rings
And I participated in the Freaky Flower Swap on the &stitches blog
And I leave you with a picture of my silly campers. This was my first time doing a sewing camp and wow! was it ever exhausting but fun. This one was called Mustaches, Monsters and Masks.
