an invitation to weep

What do you do when you move and respond only to be brushed aside?
Where do you take that lowliness of heart?
There is an invitation to weep when we are burdened with sorrow.
Do we take it?
Or do we feel that to weep is to show weakness?
to weep is to admit defeat.
to weep is to admit our sin.
to weep is to be condemned.

I want to weep for the sadness in my heart, but I can’t.
What is within me that keeps me from letting go fully of this regret,
hurt,
pain,
distrust?

the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases
Hear that… His. Love. Never. Ends.
though He causes grief, He will have compassion according to the abundance of His steadfast love.
We may be cast down, but we are never cast off. His hand is forever in our sorrow.
Let us lift up our hearts and hands to God in Heaven
I will anchor myself in Him.
He will ever be my all-sufficient happiness and I will depend on Him to be. For it is only when I depend on Him that the tears can flow and relief will come like cool after a summer rain.
