Here’s the chick’s Christmas outfit for the year. I decided against making a dress (tired of it) so I thought I would do some cute ruffly pants and a matching shirt instead. I had bought this fabric way back when I had my big girls trip to NC and was about 1/2 a yard short to do the pants…hence the skirt.
The shirt is from McCalls 6062. It is supposed to have a band of elastic around the empire waist, but I was too lazy to put it on there and I liked how it looked just fine w/o it.
The skirt is from the Oliver + S lazy days skirt tutorial. I just opted to do a ruffle, instead of hemming it with ribbon. I have to tell you, this was the most amazingly simple skirt to do. I can see many, many more of these in our future.
I’m afraid it is a little clownish on (with the bright pink and green and all the ruffles) but the chick is so cute she could probably wear a sack and still be my little cutie 🙂 To be honest, I don’t remember who the fabric is. I want to say the ornaments are Alexander Henry, but I can’t find the link and the dots are just a random dot that I found at Mary Jo’s (the mecca of all fabric stores!)
